Apprentice rate £12,656.10 per annum (reduced pro-rata)
Dringhouses Primary School is seeking to recruit two apprentice Level 3 Teaching Assistants to start September 2021 to join the team - working under the direction of the class teacher and to support access to learning across Key Stage 2. We are looking for someone friendly, and conscientious, who uses their initiative, and is keen to develop within the role of teaching assistant.
Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the teaching team to support delivery of the curriculum, supporting lessons and raising standards in learning, while supporting the children with their emotional and learning needs.
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will encourage, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils, while implementing clear boundaries and routines. Working with the class teacher to support the children, small groups, 1-1s and using behaviour management in all areas around school, you need an interest in teaching & learning, and a commitment to helping our young people grow as learners and as people themselves.
As this is an apprenticeship position, applicants will be supported on an 18 month apprenticeship programme and learn both on and off the job.
Applicants would preferably have GCSE or equivalent in English and maths or be capable of and committed to working towards these on programmes – which can be supported.
