Headteacher's Message 06.03.20
The second half of the spring term is well underway with many exciting activities taking place in school. Our value is democracy with assemblies and class discussions having this focus. Thank you to Rev. Carew for coming into school and leading an assembly this week – exemplifying the need to ensure we heed everybody’s voice and work together. The children were very excited to see his duck version of the Russian doll! We also enjoyed World Book Day sharing stories throughout the day - look at Twitter to see the children dressed as their favourite book character and a number of dalmatians wandering around the school... On another note, you will be aware of the information surrounding Coronavirus. The school is following the latest advice issued from the LA and Public Health England – ensuring basic hygiene rules continue to be followed e.g. frequent and thorough handwashing. Finally, we are in the process of welcoming back Mrs Backhouse from maternity leave. She will teach Mrs Scott-South’s class on Thursdays and Miss Swiers’ class on Tuesdays. I look forward to seeing you all at the FODS meeting after school on Monday.
