Headteacher's Message 15.11.19
The children have settled back well into school after the half-term with learning projects well under way again – EY and KS1 are exploring toys through their focus on ‘Playtime’. KS2 are now comparing and contrasting polar regions with their work on rainforests. The value for this half term is ‘respect’ and it was great to see children (and staff) in their odd on Tuesday celebrating individuality as part of ‘anti-bullying’ week. The school also supported the children in remembering and respecting those that have fallen in war – with a respectful two minutes silence on Monday. Thank you, on behalf of the British Legion, for your donations to the poppy appeal. We have parents’ evenings this week, including our new look reporting system. Any feedback on the latter would be most welcome. The governors are collecting your thoughts on the school on these evenings as well – some wonderful words being used to describe our school, many thanks.
